If you’ve searched “How much does Botox cost?” you’ve probably run into the same frustrating answer over and over: it depends.
That’s technically true. It’s just not very helpful.
At Collab Medspa in Scottsdale, we think you deserve a real starting point before you ever walk through our doors, along with an honest explanation of why your treatment might look different from your friend’s. So let’s skip the vague answers and talk actual numbers.
How Much Does Botox Cost Per Unit?
Botox is priced by the unit. We carry two neurotoxins at Collab Medspa, Botox and Jeuveau, and we price both per unit, with Jeuveau running $.50 less per unit than Botox (current price 8/2026 – $11.75/unit).
How many units you’ll need comes down to your muscles, the areas you’re treating, and the look you’re going for. That last part matters more than people expect.
Two clients can come in both wanting their forehead treated and walk out with completely different plans. One wants barely any movement left. The other wants the lines softened while still keeping some expression. Neither is right or wrong, they’re just different goals, which is exactly why we’d rather sit down with one of our nurses than have you guess at a unit count before you’ve even had a consultation.
How Many Units of Botox Do You Actually Need?
There is a technical starting point we can offer.
For BOTOX® Cosmetic, full treatment dosing for the three most common areas looks like this:
Forehead lines: 20 units Glabellar lines (the “11s”): 20 units Crow’s feet: 24 units
But full dosing doesn’t mean everyone needs all three areas, or needs the same amount within each one. Some clients want the complete treatment. Others prefer something softer and more natural. Younger clients are often just getting ahead of lines before they set in.
So we look at every face on its own. We watch how your muscles move, we ask what actually bothers you, and we build the treatment plan around that, not around a chart.
What Does Botox Cost at Collab Medspa?
Using those full-treatment numbers as our baseline, here’s our regular guest pricing:
Forehead: $235 Glabella: $235 Crow’s feet: $282
Those are standard guest prices, no discounts applied. We also offer membership pricing, and a few days each month we run Injectable Days with special package pricing (you’ll find the current dates on our Specials page).
So your real cost might land lower than these numbers, depending on when you book and whether you’re a member. And remember, you may not need every area or the full unit count listed above. We’re always happy to give you a price range ahead of time, but your consultation is where we can actually nail it down.
Why We Can’t Give You an Exact Unit Count Over the Phone
We get why people ask. If this is your first time trying Botox, you want to know what you’re walking into.
The honest answer is that we can’t see how your face moves over the phone. Your injector needs to watch your muscles in action and understand what result you’re picturing for yourself.
Do you want to keep some eyebrow movement, or would you rather your forehead be completely smooth? Are you worried about ending up looking frozen? These aren’t small details, they shape the entire plan.
For what it’s worth, I genuinely like both looks, natural and more frozen, depending on the person. For my own face, I prefer zero movement in my forehead and Glabella but a little life left in my eyebrows. It gives me some expression while keeping things smooth up top. That’s just my preference, though. Yours should look the way you want it to look, not the way mine does.
Should You Start With Just a Few Units?
Here’s something I really wish more first-time clients understood before they book.
We hear it a lot: “I just want a few units to see if I like it.” It sounds like a smart, cautious way to ease in. In practice, it’s just not giving you the full view.
If you use far fewer units than what your provider actually recommends, you may never see what a proper treatment can really do, and you might walk away assuming Botox just doesn’t work well for you.
We had a client who wanted to “baby step” her way into Botox because she was afraid of looking frozen. She started with just her glabella, treated at roughly half the recommended dose. She saw a little softening, so a couple months later she came back to add her forehead and a few more units to her glabella.
That’s where things got confusing. About a month after that second appointment, she felt like her Botox was already wearing off. When we pulled up her treatment history, the picture made sense: because each area had been treated at a different time, her earliest treatment was fading while the newer product was still active. Nothing was aging evenly.
Eventually, we gave her a full treatment all at once. That’s when she finally got the result she’d been hoping for from the start, and it lasted longer, too.
Looking back at everything, she’d actually spent more money trying to ease in slowly, while being less happy with the results along the way. And the frozen look she’d been so worried about? It was never the outcome she had to choose.
Does More Botox Mean You’ll Look Frozen?
No, not automatically. This is really about communication with your injector.
Some people love that smooth, frozen look. Others want their friends to notice they look refreshed without ever guessing why. Both are completely valid preferences, and it’s on you to tell your injector which one you’re after.
We’d never intentionally push someone toward a frozen look when they’ve asked for natural movement. But your injector also needs enough product on board to actually deliver the result you’re asking for. The goal was never to use the fewest units possible, it’s to use the right amount for your face and the look you want.
Why a Two-Week Botox Follow-Up Is a Good Thing
Here’s something else worth knowing: a Botox touch-up is completely normal, and honestly, it’s often the smarter path.
Especially with a new client, we’d rather start conservatively and adjust a little later than overdo it from the first visit. Why? Because we can always add more Botox. We can’t take it away once it’s in.
We once had a new client who’d had Botox elsewhere before coming to us, but she didn’t know how many units her previous injector had used. So we started fresh. She told us she wanted a natural result and didn’t want peaked eyebrows, so we treated her conservatively.
A couple weeks later, she called feeling like the Botox hadn’t worked the way it used to. We brought her back in for a touch-up, walked her through why we’d started conservatively, and made the small adjustments she needed.
She ended up loving the result. Her wrinkles were improved, but it looked so natural that she felt like she didn’t even have Botox on. And now that we know exactly how her face responds, we can recreate that same result every time, no more guessing. She’s since joined our membership and gets treated about every four months, budgeting for it comfortably along the way.
Is Cheap Botox Actually Cheaper?
When you’re comparing Botox prices around Scottsdale, it’s tempting to just chase the lowest price per unit. But price per unit is only one piece of the equation.
Think about who’s doing the injecting, how thorough your consultation is, how your treatment is actually planned, what product is being used, and the follow-up care you receive. You should feel comfortable asking questions, and your provider should be able to explain clearly what product they’re using, why they’re recommending a certain number of units, and what to expect afterward. You should also feel confident you’re getting the real product you’re paying for.
Look at your total treatment experience, not just the number on the ad. A cheap treatment that leaves you unhappy isn’t really a bargain at all.
How Often Should You Budget for Botox?
If Botox is something you plan to maintain long-term, it helps to think past the cost of a single appointment.
We like to work backward with clients. First: how many units do you need to actually love your result? Then: how often do you need to come in to maintain it? From there: what does that add up to over a year? And finally, we break that number down into something you can budget monthly.
That’s actually part of why we built our Collab membership in the first place. Instead of scrambling to find $500 or $600 right when it’s time for your next appointment, members put money into their membership bank a little at a time. By the time your next treatment rolls around, it’s already there waiting. It makes staying consistent so much easier.
Botox vs. Jeuveau: Does the Price Actually Differ?
We offer both at Collab Medspa, and yes, there’s a small price difference: Jeuveau runs $.50 less per unit than Botox.
But we wouldn’t want you choosing based on that alone. It’s worth talking through your past treatments, your goals, and which product might genuinely be the better fit for your face.
So, How Much Should You Really Expect to Spend?
There isn’t one magic number, but here’s a helpful starting point based on our regular guest pricing for full treatment dosing:
Forehead treatment runs around $235. Glabella runs around $235. Crow’s feet run around $282.
Your actual cost will depend on how many units you need, which areas you’re treating, how often you come in, and whether you’re taking advantage of membership or Injectable Day pricing. That’s why we always point people toward a consultation first. We’ll look at how your face moves, talk through what you want, and build a plan that fits both your goals and your budget.
The Bottom Line on Botox Pricing
If you take one thing away from all this, let it be this: don’t choose your treatment based purely on the fewest units or the cheapest price tag.
Choose a provider you actually trust. Be honest about the result you’re after. Let your injector recommend an amount that will genuinely work. And if you’re new to a provider, give them room to fine-tune things at your follow-up.
Botox shouldn’t feel like a guessing game. Once we understand your face, your preferences, your ideal dose, and how often you like to be treated, it becomes something you can plan for with confidence.
That’s the whole goal at Collab Medspa: a treatment that looks like you, a result you actually love, and a plan that fits comfortably into your life.
